Erin believes that every human being is capable of cultivating healthy, fulfilling relationships, and that this is in fact a key aspect of mental health and overall wellbeing. Through counseling, she creates a safe space for open conversations about relationships and sexuality, thus supporting
her clients in establishing intimate connections that are based on trust, respect, and personal growth.
With extensive experience in trauma-informed care, Erin understands that our relational styles often originate as self-protective mechanisms in response to challenging or traumatic situations. Through counseling, she guides individuals towards recognizing which patterns no longer serve them while fostering self-compassion for the past versions of themselves that endured hardship. By collaboratively illuminating and reconfiguring these patterns, Erin empowers her clients to
cultivate self-compassion and embrace healthier ways of being.
Erin is passionate about working with both couples and individuals. She recognizes that individual and relational wellbeing are inextricably intertwined, and even “individual” problems such as depression or trauma will impact (and be impacted by) our relationships. Considering this, she is passionate about supporting clients through a range of concerns, including but not limited to body image distress, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive
disorder, trauma, sexual/gender identity development, sexual shame related to religious background, jealousy, infidelity, and communication difficulties. Erin is LGBTQ+ affirming and
understands the key role that an individual’s cultural identities, including age, race/ethnicity, gender, and more, play in shaping our worldview. She also embraces a body neutral, Health at
Every Size- oriented approach, firmly believing that all bodies are beautiful and that body size, shape, and appearance should not dictate sexual empowerment or satisfaction.
Erin is located in Cincinnati, Ohio, and will be seeing clients in-person in the Hyde Park office and online.
