Frequently Asked Questions
Questions about therapy we get a lot…
Does Emma Schmidt & Associates Take Insurance?
As with everything health insurance… it’s complicated. We do not provide in-network care for any insurance provider. But, your insurance provider may cover out-of-network mental health benefits. If so, we can provide you with documentation of your treatment that you can file with your claims. An out-of-network therapist from our team can provide you with a monthly “superbill” that you file with your claim to your insurance company. Each therapist can also accept HSA and FSA cards through their credit card readers. This is the easiest way to leverage insurance if that is part of your plan. All the team members’ fees differ:
- Emma $285
- Danielle $200
- Holli $140
- Melissa $140
- Jean $185
- Hannah $175
- Sav $140
- Erin $130
- Brittany M $130
- Leah R $140
- Taylor A $60
- Gina $80
Each therapist has a certain number of spots at reduced rates. Please let us know if you are needing financial assistance.
Are You A Sex Surrogate?
None of the people on our team are sex surrogates. Sex therapy with a therapist on our team uses talk therapy while also providing exercises for you to practice at home. Sometimes, a client will be referred to a pelvic floor specialist. But, this will only occur for certain physical conditions.
How Do I Schedule A Therapy Session?
You can schedule a session by sending us an email at [email protected]. Or, by calling 513-438-0448. We are not always able to answer the phone, please leave a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
When are Office Hours?
Each therapist has a variety of hours open. These range from early in the morning to late evening and also weekend times slots. Please let us know if you need a certain time for your session and we’ll try and accommodate you as much as possible.
What Happens During Therapy?
Sessions are about helping clients resolve a problem(s) they are facing. This is often done through emotion-focused therapy, client-centered therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy approaches. Emma and her team attempt to mold therapy toward your unique personality. This means understanding what best fits your situation.
What is the Sexual History Assessment For?
The sexual history assessment allows Emma and her team to get a more comprehensive idea of what has been going on in your life leading up to therapy. This is often done on your own and takes about an hour to fill out. Your therapist or coach looks over the assessment outside of the session for a session fee. This eliminates the amount of time that you are in session since we understand that your time is precious.

At our Ft. Mitchell location we have parking in the front, side, and rear of the building. Please feel free to use any available spot.
