As a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a background in community mental health, I have seen an exceptionally diverse population of clientele. I believe that we all have the answers within, and I enjoy helping my clients to navigate their journey. Self-exploration can be scary and uncharted territory. Coming into therapy is a bold and courageous move that lets me know that you are ready for positive changes in your life, and relationships. I embrace every individual’s story and hope to help you embrace your own.
My professional trainings include: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Currently, I am working on certifications for Couple’s Counseling, Sex Therapy, and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Treatment. My therapeutic approach is client-centered and pulls from multiple theories. I find that every person is so unique and each session and treatment plan must be catered accordingly.
My passion is working with individuals, but I am adaptable to any therapeutic situation. I have thoroughly enjoyed running therapy groups for people with addictions, teaching parenting classes for those wanting better communication skills for their families and working with couples on relationship issues. I encourage my clients to engage in self-care/self-compassion, mindfulness, and embrace vulnerability. I am open to new ideas and welcome any person who walks into my office. I would enjoy meeting with you to discuss how we can develop tools to help you move toward success.
