Counseling Student

In my time since completing my undergraduate work, I saw the people in my life struggling with their relationships and a common theme kept arising, communication. We often take this basic  skill for granted and don’t realize that it’s an area that may need improvement. Then add in topics around sexuality and even skilled communicators can struggle. I want to work to improve this area of functioning with my clients to help them build healthy and strong relationships in all areas of their lives, whether it be familial relationships, friendships, or romantic relationships.

I have a passion for sexual education that started in my undergraduate work as I was seeing how misinformed my peers, and myself, were on so many areas surrounding sex. I didn’t grow up in a place where sex was discussed openly, making it a taboo topic, which I believe happens to many others as well. I want to work with my clients to make the subject of sex a more natural and a somewhat easier conversatoin to have, by giving them the knowledge and the power to do just that!

To build these communication skills, and many others that go along with relationships, I work with individuals, couples, multi-partnered relationships, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and families. All are welcome in my office where I will work to create a brave space for you to share your concerns in a judgement free environment.
