My motivation to become involved with the world of sex and relationships counseling came from a simple place – sex and relationships are one of the few things in this world that is an universal experience we all, at one point or another, will experience. However, for something that should be a uniting experience, the topic may cause division and can be a source of shame, anxiety, discomfort and pain. As a counselor in training, my goal is to create an affirming, safe and non-judgemental environment in which we can fully explore these topics without the prevailing stigma which hinders progress.

I approach sessions from a person centered approach, meaning that I want to know YOUR story and what progress means to you. I believe you are the expert of your life, I want to respect and encourage your autonomy in the therapy process. You will not, however, be alone in the process as I will empathetically help you explore your concerns and self. I  highly value the mind-body connection, and believe that our physical and mental wellness are intrinsically linked.
